Damasi Rules

• Board Setup: Played on an 8×8 board, each player starts with 16 men arranged in two rows, leaving the back row empty.
• Movement: Men can move forward or sideways one square. Capturing is done by jumping over an opponent's piece and landing on an empty square beyond. Men cannot move backward. When a man reaches the back row, it is promoted to a king. Kings can move any number of squares in any direction (forward, backward, or sideways) and capture by jumping over any piece.
• Capturing: Pieces are removed immediately after being jumped. If a jump is possible, it must be taken. When multiple jumps are possible, the one capturing the most pieces must be chosen. No distinction is made between capturing a king or a man; each counts as one piece. If multiple sequences capture the same maximum number of pieces, the player may choose which to execute.
• Game End: The game concludes when a player has no legal moves left, either due to all pieces being captured or being completely blocked. The opponent then wins the game.
• Unique Rules: In Damasi, since pieces are removed immediately after being jumped, it's possible to cross the same square more than once in a capturing sequence. However, turning 180 degrees between two captures within a multi-capture is not allowed.
