About the Hazari Game:

Hazari is a thrilling four-player card game that uses a standard 52-card deck. Each player is dealt 13 cards, totaling 52 cards across the game. Players have time to arrange their cards from highest to lowest. Once a player completes their arrangement, they signal by calling "up." When all four players are ready, the player to the right of the dealer starts by playing a card.

The game progresses with the player who plays the highest card value winning the round and continuing to play the next set of cards. The winner of each round collects all the cards played in that round. Points are calculated after all cards have been played, with cards from Ace (A) to 10 valued at 10 points each, and cards from 9 to 2 valued at 5 points each. The ultimate goal is to accumulate 1000 points across multiple games to win.

In case of a tie, the player who played the higher-ranking set wins. For example, if Player 1 plays AKQ of Hearts, Player 2 plays 678 of Spades, Player 3 plays AKQ of Diamonds, and Player 4 plays 55J of Hearts, Player 3 wins the round with AKQ of Diamonds.

Rules of Higher to Lower Order:

  • TROY: Any three cards of the same rank, e.g., AAA, KKK, QQQ, JJJ, 10-10-10, down to 222.
  • COLOR RUN: Three consecutive cards of the same suit, e.g., AKQ of Spades, A23 of Diamonds, KQJ of Hearts, down to 432 of Clubs.
  • RUN: Three consecutive cards of any suit, e.g., AKQ, A23, KQJ, down to 432.
  • COLOR: Any three cards of the same suit, e.g., KQ2 of Hearts or 589 of Spades. The highest card in the set determines the winner.
  • PAIR: Any two cards of the same rank with a third card, e.g., 443, 99J, QQ6. Higher pairs like AAK beat lower pairs like 223.
  • INDI or INDIVIDUALS: Any three cards that do not form a set, e.g., 5 (hearts), 7 (spades), 9 (diamonds). The highest card determines the winner.

How to Play:

Players arrange their 13 cards into sets of 3, 3, 3, and 4. The first player starts by playing their highest set of three cards. The rest of the players follow suit with their highest three cards. The player with the highest-ranking set wins the round and plays their next highest set of three cards. This continues until the final set of four cards is played. The game continues until a player reaches 1000 points.
