Fable's First Pre-Alpha Gameplay Revealed
In a surprising turn of events, early gameplay footage of the highly anticipated next installment of the *Fable* series was unexpectedly revealed during the Official Xbox Podcast. This sneak peek into the game world delighted fans, showcasing a variety of locations, an engaging combat system, and multiple enemy types. A snippet of a cutscene and the iconic chicken kick were also featured, adding to the excitement.
Despite this exciting reveal, the head of Xbox Game Studios previously announced a delay for *Fable*, pushing the release from 2025 to 2026. The delay is attributed to the need for additional polish and refinement to ensure the game meets high standards.
The reboot of this iconic series was first announced on July 23, 2020. However, since then, very little information has been disclosed about the game. It was only three years later that it became evident *Fable* was still in the early stages of development. The main developer, Playground Games, has enlisted the help of Eidos Montreal, indicating that the project has faced significant challenges.
