A forthcoming feature might allow apps to auto-launch immediately after installation, saving you the hassle of manually searching for the app icon or checking if the download completed. Imagine the convenience of the app popping up on your screen the moment it's ready to use.

According to a report from Android Authority, this innovative feature is being developed for the Google Play Store. Based on an APK teardown of version 41.4.19, the feature, tentatively named "App Auto Open," is still in the works and not officially confirmed. However, if it rolls out, users will have the option to toggle it on or off, giving them control over whether newly installed apps from the Google Play Store automatically launch.

Here's how it could work: Once an app finishes downloading, a notification banner will appear at the top of your screen for approximately 5 seconds. Depending on your phone's settings, it might also ring or vibrate, ensuring you don't miss the alert, even if you're engrossed in an Instagram reel or a mobile game raid.
