"Netflix to Adapt Sifu Game into Movie: Chad Stahelski and T.S. Nowlin Onboard"
Netflix has officially teamed up with the creators of the acclaimed video game Sifu to transform its intense narrative into a cinematic experience. Announced back in 2022, the film adaptation was initially in the hands of Story Kitchen and Sloclap, the game's developer. However, according to Deadline, the project's production team has undergone a significant expansion.

Netflix has enlisted T.S. Nowlin, renowned for his contributions to the Maze Runner franchise and the Netflix original Project Adam, to write the screenplay. Although Derek Kolstad, who was initially involved in adapting Sifu's story, may still be part of the project, his current involvement remains uncertain.
The production has also attracted high-caliber talent with Chad Stahelski, the visionary behind the John Wick series, and his company 87Eleven Entertainment joining as executive producers. Stahelski is simultaneously working on another eagerly awaited video game adaptation, Ghost of Tsushima, adding to his impressive portfolio.
Since its release in 2022, Sifu has captivated audiences, selling over one million copies in just three weeks. The game centers on a young martial artist driven by vengeance for their master's murder. Equipped with a mystical pendant that revives them after each death but ages them significantly, the protagonist navigates a perilous path filled with danger and intrigue.
