Switch 2 Joy-Con Mouse Function and New Controllers

According to the patent, "The sensor for mouse operation detects reflected light from a detected surface, the light changing by moving over the detected surface in a state in which either the first side surface or the second side surface is placed on the detected surface."

In addition to the mouse functionality, the Joy-Cons can be charged using a new charging dock capable of accommodating up to two Joy-Cons simultaneously. A new attachment is also introduced, magnetically connecting the Joy-Con to the console and featuring a wrist strap reminiscent of the original Switch Joy-Con.

The patent also reveals a new pair of controllers, resembling a standard controller split into two halves, each equipped with an optical sensor on the side. These can also function as a mouse. An additional attachment allows these controllers to be combined into a single, standard controller.
