Diagnose and resolve issues in your BMW with the bimmer-tool app. This powerful tool allows you to read and clear fault codes, initiate DPF regeneration, access real-time engine data, and much more. While functionality is somewhat limited for pre-2008 models (K+DCan USB connection recommended), bimmer-tool offers comprehensive diagnostics for newer vehicles.

Supported OBD Adapters:

• ENET cable/WiFi Adapter (Recommended for F & G series)
• ELM327 Bluetooth (Genuine ELM327 or PIC18-based adapters only. May not work with older engines.)
• ELM327 WiFi (May be less stable. Disable mobile data for WiFi adapter use on some devices.)

**Quick Start Guide:**

1. Connect adapter to OBD II port.
2. Turn ignition on.
3. Connect adapter to your phone (USB, Bluetooth, or WiFi).
4. Launch the app, select your car's model and year.
5. Choose your connection type, adapter type, and communication protocol.
6. Tap "Connect".

**Limitations:** Pre-2008 models (e46/e39/e83/e53) require K+DCan and only support the engine ECU. Wireless ELM adapter connection may not be possible.

**Common Problems:**

• "No response" error (pre-2007 vehicles with BT/WiFi adapters): Try selecting ATWM in advanced connection settings.
• No connection: Force stop diagnostic apps (including bimmer-tool) or restart your phone.

Permission Requirements: Storage (USB adapters), Photos/Media/Files (CSV creation), Bluetooth access, Full network access (WiFi adapters).
