Primarily focused on sharing cool stuff you found on the web, you can repost content found almost anywhere or upload your own original creations including written word posts, photographs, videos or music tracks directly onto Tumblr. You can also link any of your Tumblr content to your external blog by linking it.

Another key feature is the social aspect of this app. Tumblr for Android will automatically detect which of your contacts are on Tumblr. Easily add them to your followers or follow them yourself. Conversely, if you're not really into their posts you can just opt to ignore them as well. As always, sending private messages to other users is easy, as is checking how many likes your latest post has garnered and viewing any comments or reposts accrued. Tumblr is a great app for blogging. It does come with a few drawbacks, though. But if you're active on Tumblr, you'd be remiss to not give it a try. In all honesty, Tumblr originated as a desktop browser based site, and it is still at its best viewed from a larger format.
